About us

An astoundingly high number of Sri Lankans are statistically proven to be Diabetic or prone to Diabetes as a result of genetic disposition or unhealthy lifestyle habits.  If ignored, Diabetes can give rise to many adverse conditions such as Diabetes Neuropathy (Nerve damage due to Diabetes) Retinopathy (Eye damage due to Diabetes) Nephropathy (Kidney damage and failure due to Diabetes) increased risk of heart attack and stroke, insensitive feet, ulceration and amputation.

Centre for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Cardio Metabolism (CDEM) was conceived to serve a cross section of the patient population with chronic health concerns including Diabetes.
